Pictorial Progress Report

Can you tell how it's going? (Hint: It's a center-pull ball)

I have one or two yarn balls that look like that right now. And it does not bode well. I'm hoping that you have simply finished with lots of yarn to spare...

Hmmm...not sure if this is good or bad, but I'm guessing bad since there is quite a bit left in the center.

We received your jam and had it with our toast and bagels this morning. The Family G. gives you a big thumbs up in the jam making department. Thanks, Denise!!!

Ummm - did you have to rip a bit? Not all of it, but some?

I have a ball of yarn that looks just like that!! I made positive progress, but only about four hours' progress with ten hours' knitting. I hope you didn't have to go all the way back to the beginning?

I like your marionberry jam with cheese blintzes. So much so that I went and bought more blintzes - but I wasn't paying attention and I picked up TOFU blintzes!! I am a tofu eater, but that just sounds nasty. The package says "Cheese Free!" like it's a good thing. Gross.

I refuse to take the bait...there is NO negative knitting, right? What a beautiful ball of yarn! What fun it will be to knit! We LIKE knitting now, don't we?! :)

Actually, it does look like luscious yarn. And, now that I've read the comments, I am thinking of marionberry jam with cheese blintzes. Whoa. That was a good moment. (two things I can't buy in a store here, let me tell you!) Thanks for your kind thoughts on my blog. It is taking a while to get better, but at least I feel like eating again. That's progress!

what a beautiful ball of yarn, that middle part just jumped onto the outside so that it wasn't left out. after all, the real beauty is on the inside.

I have a few balls of yarn that look like that, right after I have done mini-swatches...that is what you did, right?

Awwwh!!?? What happened!? Were you lost in translation between pattern instructions and what you actually held in your hands?? Bummer.

At least you will get to enjoy the yarn more than just once. It is a beautiful, soothing looking ball of yarn.

I know what has happened when my balls look like that. I just hope yours looks that way for a different reason than when mine looks like that! :)
